Conditions and profiles
What people come to us with
We work from the specific skills a person is finding difficult, so a diagnosis is useful information rather than a requirement. People come to us with, among others:
- Autism
- ADHD
- Developmental delay
- Learning difficulties
- Speech and communication difficulties
- Behavioural difficulties
- Sensory processing difficulties
- Motor and coordination difficulties
- Executive functioning difficulties
- School refusal and anxiety around learning
- Down syndrome
- No diagnosis at all
How it works
Three steps, and you can stop after the first
Most families arrive worried they are about to be sold a package. Here is the whole process, so there are no surprises in it.
- 1
Talk to us
A free first conversation, in person or on the phone. You tell us what you are seeing. We tell you honestly whether we are the right people, and what we would look at first. Nothing is booked at this stage.
- 2
Assessment and plan
We look at the specific skills involved rather than the label. You get a written plan with goals we can measure, and you know what each session is for before it starts.
- 3
Sessions and visible progress
Work begins, with data tracked against those goals. You see the progress, you get the strategies to use at home, and the plan is reviewed as your child moves.
Straight answers
Questions parents ask first
Do we need a diagnosis before we start?
No. A diagnosis is useful information, but it is not a requirement and it is not what we build the plan from. We work from the specific skills a person is finding difficult, which is the same starting point whether a diagnosis exists, is in progress, or was never sought.
What ages do you work with?
From age two through to adulthood. Support does not stop at eighteen, and several of our programmes are built for young adults moving into work and independent living.
What happens at the first consultation?
You talk, we listen, and we ask questions about what you are seeing at home and at school. There is no cost and no obligation to book anything afterwards. If we are not the right service for your child, we will say so and point you somewhere better.
How long before we see progress?
It depends on the goals and how often sessions run, so anyone promising you a number before meeting your child is guessing. What we do commit to is that goals are written down and measured, so you can see movement rather than take our word for it.
Do you work with our school?
Yes. We provide shadow support in class, work directly with teachers on classroom strategy, and run training for school staff. Where a child is with us and at school, we aim for the same goals in both settings.
How much does it cost?
Fees depend on which programme is involved and how often sessions run, so we go through it properly at the first consultation rather than quoting a figure that turns out not to apply to you.
Do you only work with autistic children?
No. We support neurodivergent children and adults, learners with academic or behavioural difficulties, and children who are not neurodivergent at all but need support in a particular area. We also work with schools and organisations.
Where are you based?
Salmaniya Pearl Building (Above Al-Hawaj), Office 31, Building 280, Road 5616, Block 356, Salmaniya, Manama.
