Groups, schools and inclusion
Wave Community: groups, schools and inclusion
Group programmes, school support and training that change the environment around a person, not only the person.

Inclusion is not just being in the classroom. It is being able to take part in it.
What brings families here
- “He plays next to other children, never with them.”
- “Birthday parties end with us leaving early.”
- “The school wants to help but does not know how.”
What we work on
Areas Wave Community covers
Social skills groups
Practising interaction with other children, in a setting built for it.
Not So Social Club
A group for young people who find the social side the hardest part.
Sensory Club
Sensory activities in an environment designed around different needs.
School shadow support
In-class support that builds independence rather than replacing it.
Classroom strategies and teacher collaboration
Working with teachers so the approach holds up when we are not there.
School readiness
Sitting, attending, following instructions and the routines school assumes children arrive with.
Transition support
Moving up a year, changing school, or stepping into something new.
Inclusive camps and activities
Beyond Barriers, inclusive sports, Brain Gym and holiday programmes.
Professional development and corporate training
Neurodiversity, autism awareness and inclusive practice for schools and organisations.
How it works
Three steps, and you can stop after the first
Most families arrive worried they are about to be sold a package. Here is the whole process, so there are no surprises in it.
- 1
Talk to us
A free first conversation, in person or on the phone. You tell us what you are seeing. We tell you honestly whether we are the right people, and what we would look at first. Nothing is booked at this stage.
- 2
Assessment and plan
We look at the specific skills involved rather than the label. You get a written plan with goals we can measure, and you know what each session is for before it starts.
- 3
Sessions and visible progress
Work begins, with data tracked against those goals. You see the progress, you get the strategies to use at home, and the plan is reviewed as your child moves.

Evidence
The research behind our cognitive work
Brain Wave is a licensed BrainRx provider, and BrainRx has been tested in randomised controlled trials and measured across 27,790 clients. We publish the findings in full, including their limits. See what the research shows.

Not sure if Wave Community is the right starting point?
That is exactly what the first conversation is for. Tell us what you are seeing and we will tell you honestly where we would start, or whether another service fits better.
