About Brain Wave

A centre built around the person, not the programme

We support the brain through cognitive training, skills through behavioural and occupational work, learning through academic support, and belonging through community and school programmes.

What we are

Brain Wave is a multidisciplinary centre in Manama for learning, development and family support. We work with children, young people and adults through individualised, evidence-based programmes covering behaviour, communication, cognitive skills, emotional regulation and academic performance.

We do not believe in a one-size-fits-all approach. Every individual has different strengths, challenges and ways of learning, and our services are designed around the person in front of us.

The bigger idea

We do not just work with the individual. We work with the world around them.

We support the brain through cognitive and therapeutic programmes. We support skills through behavioural, academic and occupational services. We support relationships through social programmes and family support. We support schools through classroom and educational work. And we support organisations through professional development and inclusion training.

Through Breaking Boundaries, we work towards a Bahrain where neurodivergent people can take part everywhere, rather than only in specialist settings.

Mission and vision

Our mission is to provide accessible, high-quality, evidence-based support that empowers individuals and families to build meaningful, lasting change.

Our vision is to become a leading centre in the region for neurodiversity-affirming care, multidisciplinary collaboration and lifespan support.

Why Brain Wave

How we work

Multidisciplinary team

Specialists across cognition, behaviour and occupational therapy plan together on the same case, so you are not the one carrying messages between professionals.

Family centred

Families are part of the plan, so progress carries on between sessions instead of stopping at the door.

Evidence based

Programmes are grounded in research and tracked with data, so progress is measured rather than assumed.

Real-life application

We target skills that transfer to school, work, home and the community.

Lifespan support

From age two through to adulthood, with continuity as needs change.

Individualised plans

Every programme is built around one person's profile, strengths and goals.
